Because of assistance from United Way, the Bridges to Wellness Hub is able link individuals with medical, social, and educational barriers to wellness — with a focus on new and expectant mothers and their babies, children, older adults, and individuals with chronic disease –- to critical
resources via a network of local Care Coordination Agencies.
AREA AGENCY ON AGING REGION9
Because of assistance from United Way, older adults are provided with resources to alleviate food insecurity, they get support through the independent Living Fund, and the Senior Supports Program.
CHILDREN’S ADVOCACY CENTER OF GUERNSEY AND SURROUNDING AREAS
Because of assistance from United Way, child victims of sexual and severe physical abuse/neglect and their families receive support in a secure, neutral, and child-focused environment.
GIRL SCOUTS OF OHIO’S HEARTLAND
Because of assistance from United Way, the Friendship Trail service unit can support 129 troops, 216 girls in outreach programs, and 32 adult members.
GMN TRI-COUNTY CAC, INC
Because of assistance from United Way, the Community Action Committee will utilize funds to enhance its Senior Services Program by providing more that 6,500 home delivered continental breakfasts and 6,500 home delivered snacks to senior residents experiencing food insecurity in Monroe and Noble Counties.
GUERNSEY COUNTY CANCER SOCIETY
Because of assistance from United Way, funds go directly to clients for their cancer expense including transportation to appointments, help with cancer-related prescription drugs, in home respite care, and nutritional supplies.
GUERNSEY COUNTY COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION
Because of assistance from United Way, the Mobility Management program reduces transportation barriers for individuals in Guernsey County who lack access to reliable transportation. By providing direct fuel assistance through Speedway gas-only cards, the program helps individuals reach essential services such as medical appointments, job interviews, and grocery stores.
GUERNSEY COUNTY FEED MY PEOPLE
Because of assistance from United Way, funding helps provide a free community kitchen serving free meals 6 days a week, while utilizing nutritional guidelines to promote better health.
GUERNSEY COUNTY SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER
Because of assistance from United Way, senior members in our community are offered facility-based recreational activities, in-home personal care, as well as home delivered meals.
HAVEN OF HOPE
Because of assistance from United Way, and a cash match from a federal grant, the agency is able to provide a full-time victim advocate that provides trauma informed services to victims of crime.
HOSPICE OF GUERNSEY AND NOBLE COUNTIES
Because of assistance from United Way, the agency focuses on the comfort and quality of life for terminally ill patients and provides support for family caregivers.
LUTHERAN SOCIAL SERVICES
Because of assistance from United Way, a mobile food pantry provides service in Guernsey Co. every first and third Wednesday at the Stop Nine Activity Center parking lot in Byesville, and Noble Co. Faith Baptist Church in Belle Valley every third Friday from 11-12.
MUSKINGUM VALLEY BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA
Because of assistance from United Way, the Muskingum Valley Council-Rivertrails District supports 354 total youth, 16 adult volunteers, and 10 Cub Scout packs.
NOBLE COUNTY FAMILY VIOLENCE COUNCIL
Because of assistance from United Way, funding goes to general operational expenses and is also used to support two full time registered advocates who assist victims of crime.
NOBLE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT
Because of assistance from United Way, funds are used to help support a child abuse prevention and personal safety education program, which targets all pre-kindergarten through 5th grade students.
ST. VINCENT DE PAUL
Because of assistance from United Way, the agency can provide help for the working poor when wages fail to cover their basic needs including housing, utilities, transportation, and healthcare expenses.
THE SALVATION ARMY
Because of assistance from United Way, a food pantry helps serve over one thousand households, helps keep the lights on for 49 households, and brought smiles to 1337 children in 382 households for Christmas last year.
