The mission of the United Way of Guernsey, Monroe, and Noble Counties is to improve the community by enhancing the lives of our residents in the areas of education, health, and financial stability.
We cultivate and distribute resources to qualified partners that align with our impact areas, and we develop programs where needs persist. We use locally raised money to help those people who live in Guernsey, Noble and Monroe Counties
United Way partners with YOU in creating a giving program which develops solutions for the whole community
By giving to the United Way, you join others whose gifts are addressing critical community issues: nurturing children and youth, strengthening families, supporting older people, promoting health and wellness and increasing self-sufficiency. Your one gift will help all kinds of people – all at the same time.
You also have the choice to designate all or part of your gift to your favorite charity or an agency that has helped you, a family member, friend or neighbor.
In addition to supporting large, well-known agencies, your United Way gift helps small lesser-known agencies who often do not have the time nor the manpower to fundraise.
We also support The Dolly Parton Imagination Library program in all 3 of our counties, which is a women’s Initiative focusing on early childhood literacy. Children enrolled in the program receive a new, age-appropriate book, monthly from birth through their 5th birthday.
United Way keeps fundraising costs low, so nearly all of your contributions help people with the greatest needs
A network of several hundred volunteers helps to conduct the annual campaign. Therefore, your money helps those in need.
